Ever wanted to tour a chocolate factory? You can right here in South Bend! The South Bend Chocolate Company factory is a great place to visit. Located at their corporate office on West Sample in South Bend, the factory also includes "The Chocolate Museum" and a factory outlet store. 

Basic tours run every hour on the hour, and are subject to availability. The free tour is fun and informative, plus you get a free piece of freshly made chocolate. The "Inside Scoop" tour is the paid extended tour, which basically adds a short film at the end, as well as a spoon dipped in chocolate for you to eat while watching. See pricing below. Walk-ins, groups, buses and familes are welcome. Appointments are not necessary, but preferred.

The Chocolate Museum features collections of rare chocolate boxes, posters, ads, and many other chocolate collectibles.

The factory outlet store has all types of confections to buy. Best of all, they have an "almost perfect" section, where you can get extremely discounted chocolates.

HealthWorks! Kids Museum - South Bend, IN

HealthWorks! is a state-of-the art, 12,000 square foot facility, aimed at teaching children, kindergarten through 6th grade, that the choices they make today will impact the quality of life they have tomorrow. Children learn through interactive displays about the human body, innovative computer stations, and challenges about brainpower and senses to reveal important facts about their own skills and talents. The museum is more like a giant playroom, complete with a climbing wall, indoor playground, puppet area, playfood marketplace, dress up dentist office, dance game, coloring stations, and way more than we could possibly begin to list. There is so very much to do here to keep everyone occupied for hours. There is also an interactive "movie" room.

Center For History - South Bend, IN

The South Bend Center for History has lots to see and do! There are rotating exhibits, as well as permanent exhibits. For younger audiences, the Center for History also has a kid's museum downstairs, called the Kidsfirst Children's Museum. Kidsfirst engages children’s imaginations through hands-on environments and provides fun ways for young ones to discover history.

There is plenty to see and do for guests of all ages and interests. You can even arrange an individualized group tour that is sure to please. There are three levels of exhibits. You can see a wide collection of Studebaker cars, as well as many other classics! There are some interactive spots, as well as films to watch.

College Football Hall of Fame - South Bend, IN

The College Football Hall of Fame is open daily for self guided tours. It features a 360-degree theater film viewing area, a fun "The Training Center" interactive skills course, and several smaller exhibits with audio and film. This museum is very uniquely layed out and is fun for sports fans of all ages! Also at the museum is an art gallery, restaurant, gift shop, and "press box" which can be used for meetings or receptions. Adjoining the College Football Hall of Fame to the South Bend Century Center is an underground tunnel, which makes for a fun adventure.

Hannah Lindahl Children’s Museum - Mishawaka, IN

South Bend Museum of Art - South Bend, IN

The South Bend Museum of Art galleries are located inside the Century Center. The museum is an architectural delight. Designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the museum occupies three levels in the northern wing of the building. While there are permanent galleries, some other galleries are ever-changing, with exhibits constantly rotating. Typically, there is some larger free-standing art, such as sculptures located in the outside hall of the museum on the interior of the Century Center. The Museum offers a wide range of classes and workshops for children and adults including instruction in all media. Learn to draw, paint, sculpt, photograph, create jewelry, and explore the possibilities of clay in their fully equipped studio classrooms.
